Hi guys,
I'm building my first pc. I want to have AMD FX8320 or AMD FX8350 on M5A99X Mobo, but I just don't know which cooling system to pick. I want to do some heavy overclocking on it. I don't mind fan or liquid.
I was looking trough some other threads and most common pick is Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, but I don't know if it will do me.
Thanks

Solution
i5 6500 or i7 6700
B150 or H170 motherboard
8-16GB DDR4 2133 or 2400
250-500GB M.2 SSD, preferably Samsung or Intel
1-2TB HDD
Radeon RX 480 or GTX 1060, or for something a bit faster, GTX 1070
450-550w power supply from a good brand
Windows 10 Home x64
The EVO is a good, reasonably priced cooler and should get you some extra mhz. I can't see myself recommending spending more than $20-35 on a cooler to overclock a 4 year old CPU that's generally outperformed by a $110 CPU

EDIT: Just caught that you don't have this CPU yet. Don't build a system with an FX CPU, they're not good choices in 2016, and weren't even particularly good choices when they were released 4 years ago. What's your total budget, and what will you be using it for?

I will guarantee you, right now, that if you build an FX system, you will regret it. Maybe not now, maybe not in a month, but definitely within a year.

You'll also be spending more upfront for less performance. To run an 8core FX properly, you'll need a pretty flagship motherboard, let alone overclocking it. You'll also need a beefy power supply, which is even more upfront cost. You can get more performance while spending less with a budget intel option.

Take my advice, as someone who loves to extract every last percent of a percentage of performance out of PC components, don't do it.

So what cpu would you recommend for equally same amount? amd or intel?

Intel. Essentially, with Amd right now you'll spend more money on the motherboard to get one halfway decent at overclocking. Intel you'll spend more on the Cpu. If you skip the overclocking for Intel, the money balances out mostly, and you STILL get better performance.

Amd example:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H170-GAMING 3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($77.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Mushkin Blackline 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($61.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $338.85

The Intel set-up will beat the Amd setup, period.

Thank you for this solution, would this motherboard would be okay?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/GIGABYTE-Intel-M-D3H-Micro-ATX-Motherboard/dp/B002LFJ454/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1474919449&sr=8-2&keywords=Gigabyte+GA-H170

That one would be fine. Any socket 1151 board would work really, the major differences in them are mostly in the types of connectivity (e.g. USB, SATA, M.2) ports they have, and not in their stability or performance. H110 boards are the cheapest, but are limited to 2 RAM slots. If you're alright with that, you can save about 50 quid by going with an inexpensive H110 board. Otherwise, the B150 chipset is the next cheapest and allows up to 4 RAM slots.

Oh yea right. B150 would be perfect for me. What would be better gpu Gigabyte gtx 1060 or Asus gtx 1060 strix? there is about 20 pound difference between them

They're close to the same. The Asus card is clocked ~1-2% higher and has a different cooler which looks to be slightly better, but sometimes appearances can be deceiving. Both companies are top-tier manufacturers, and I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Okay, thank you! Answering to your previous question, I want this PC to handle newest games, as also I'm currently studying computer science(software development, programming, vitrual machines etc.) so great performance in multitasking would be nice. I would like to spend max $1250

Thank you for that build, I'll go with i5-6600 or i56600k and Asus z710 Pro. I think that would be enough
