Hello i have a small problem right. My r9 270x just died and i am in a need for new gpu. I was considering rx 480 since it is cheaper then 1060 in Croatia but i am not sure if my psu can handle it. If it cant handle it, i will just buy 1060 but i am really tight on money atm :/

My rig:
Intel i5 4460
kingstone fury 2x4 gb
radeon hd 7770 (old gpu that that i couldnt sell when i bought r9 270x)
gigabyte h92-d3h
2 tb hdd from seagate at 7200rpm
Zalman zm500-gs - psu in question

The psu is 3 years old if it means anything. Also should i get 4gb or 8gb version (both are cheaper then 1060) if i end up buying 480?

Solution
If your PSU can handle an R9 270x it can handle the RX 480 which is far more power efficient.

That said that PSU is low quality, so I would consider a replacement some day no matter what GPU you choose.

XFX AMD RADEON RX 480 RS XXX HS BP, stock one and Gigabyte one, all are 8gb (xfx cheapest and gigabyte most expensive out of the 3) rest of the options are more expensive then Gainward 1060 (both phoenix and normal are cheaper then rx 480 alternatives)

I was thinking about replacment but cant afford it now :/
