I've seen plenty of people with this problem but I still feel as if my situation is different in some way. This is my last resort is trying to get help from this website and posting my own thread.
I've had my computer for about 2 years now and the problem started happening about 6 months ago but I dealt with it. Recently about 2 days ago I had enough of it and I decided to take action. My C drive (which is an SSD) is consistently working at 100% usage when nothing is even running. The highest I've seen my write speed is about 3.5 MB/s and read I've seen it gone up to like 1.5 MB/s. I tried resetting my computer (my C drive only) and keeping windows on it. So just removing my personal data and that's all. But it seems to have gotten slower. That was 2 days ago when I reset it. I disabled anything you guys have suggested in other threads such as Windows Search, Windows Update, Superfetch, anything along those lines. Still Disk Usage at 100%. Before I reset my drive boot time would be about 1 min which is fine with me and shutdown/restart would take anywhere between 7-15 mins. Now it seems to be loading slower but my shutdown/restart is faster. My CPU usage is currently at 4% usage and my disk is at 100% usage. I checked in BIOS to see if it was in the right mode and it was, its currently set to AHCI which I believe is the correct setting. It used to never be this way and that's the problem.
I can only do one thing at a time now because of this and I'm tired of it. I can't install nor update anything without my disk usage being at 100% usage. I've tried looking in my Resource Monitor to see if I could find anything in there taking up any usage and I've looked in there several times and there will be nothing really taking up my response time or anything of the sort. But I have seen two files specifically come up alot of the times and that's "DRIVERS" and "COMPONENTS" in my "C:\Windows\System32\Config" Folder.
Another thing to note is that my Graphics Driver is unable to update. Don't know why but that could just be a different problem on its own but every time I try to update it, it fails. Even when I download the driver from the NVIDIA website.
This website is my last resort. If I can't find a solution I will probably buy a new Disk Drive and reinstall a brand new OS on it and also buy a new processor just to make sure that I fix the issue.
Please give me any suggestion on what to do, thank you so much for any feedback.
