Hello, I am attempting to put together a streaming PC. To clarify this will be my first proper gaming/streaming PC. I have a list that is just short of $1.5k https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Broksonic/saved/2dCycf and I was hoping for some feedback on whether or not this is optimal with my money. I intend to stream games such as Rainbow 6 Siege, Rimworld, and FTL. When it comes to the streaming I am aiming for 720p and 60fps if possible. I hope this would help out a bit when it comes to the parts. I apologize if I am being vague about this, I would like to skim this price a bit without hurting performance (granted I will admit I have no idea how well that PC would preform).

I am looking for feedback. If I have missed or left something out that might help please inform me so I can hopefully elaborate.

Thank you for reading and attempting to help!

720P is stretching what Skylake can do way too short. You should be going for at least 1080P. You don't need things like sound cards and headsets. You can add good peripherals later on. And do not - repeat - do not buy the suggested PSU under any circumstances, they are the worst PSUs you can buy. This is what I would suggest assuming you don't need monitor or peripherals:

Your list isn't showing, but I found it ( https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Broksonic/saved/nVnnQ7 )

You could get a MUCH better video card for same price.

Newer chipset/processor/faster RAM.

Monitor switch-1080p (you can easily do that)

Better SSD + more storage.
This might actually run 1440p if you have a suitable monitor.

Then you can add monitor, OS and peripherals.

I do require a monitor and the headset would replace the ear buds that I have which are fairly old, however could you explain why I don't require a sound card?

Sound cards haven't been needed for years. The sound built into your motherboard will handle just about any audio functions you require. I generally advise not to include things like headphones because that can impact what hardware you buy. And if you are going to spend $1200+ on a new PC, definitely invest in a new monitor - 720P is relatively low end. 1080P or 1440P is what you want to go for, and a 1070 can easily handle it, and even can run 4K decently.

Oh I see, well thank you for informing me of that. Could you recommend a reasonably priced monitor to fit the parts you suggested? I was including the headset for both the mic and speakers as I have neither. Currently using a 4 year old Laptop with a built in mic and earbuds, would there be a possible solution for that as well? Also thank you so much for helping me!

Well that first build includes a lot of parts that are not recommended by most of the regulars on this forum. Especially Raidmax - do not buy under any circumstances.

Maybe try something like this:

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($227.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H5 Universal 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($46.99 @ Newegg)

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC GAMING Video Card ($404.98 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT S340 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case ($66.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Power Supply: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($89.99 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit ($85.70 @ My Choice Software)
Monitor: Asus VC279H 27.0" 60Hz Monitor ($202.98 @ Newegg)

Then you can add whatever keyboard, mouse and OS you want. If you have a flexible budget I'd suggest upgrading the monitor to a 1440P model.

Another option, is to drop the overclocking. This allows room for a 1440p monitor, an i7, and a headset.
