I am fairly dumb when it comes to laptop technology. I recently received a refurbished laptop. Its an Acer Aspire v3 574. Ideally I would like to have an M.2 SSD as a main drive. I looked inside and didnt see any empty PCI Express slots though. I contacted Acer and they were less than helpful. They actually told me that I cant use any sort of SSD in my laptop...

Basically can I put an M.2 SSD in my laptop? Failing that does anyone have a recommendation for a 1TB SSD that I can use instead of my current HD?

Also it currently has 8 gigs of ram that I would like to swap out for 16 gigs of faster ram. Is the following compatible? I tried to look at the current RAM to see what it was but the sticker is messed up. Probably because its refurbished.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

That's a pretty new laptop, but if you can't see any slots for an m.2 drive, then you can't use it, unless you use an adapter and replace the main drive that way. For RAM, PC3L-12800 or PC3-12800 will work.
