Can I run nvidia gtx 1060. I have (psu:450w..) mb has 16x slot. Pc specifications are intel i3 1st generation 2.93 ghz.4gb ram.motherboard:h55kbl ddr3.as you can see it's really poor for gaming. So can I run nvidia gtx 1060.also, my motherboard contains 4 pins and also my psu contains 4 pin. So, need solution. Will I face problems by installing nvidia gtx 1060!!!!! Please, help! Thanks.

I disagree.

Even with a bottleneck, the i3 + 1060 will be better than the i3 + GTX660.

Cheers!
Do you have more information on your PSU? It will really depend on the specifics on how many Amps can deliver through the 12Volt rails. That information is usually displayed on the side of the PSU, and if not, with the model you can just google it.

In particular, without the specific model, we can't know if those 450W are distributed in such a way that will allow you to plug the 1060 into your PC.

Cheers!

Is that the one?

If so, the maker is of *very* dubious quality, but going by specs alone, it provides 20A from the 12V Rail. Given the 1060 is a 120W part, that means it will take ~10A from those 20. It still leaves you a bit tight on power, since HDDs, the CPU and other stuff gets power from the 12V, but 10A is plenty for a lot of other components using the same 12V rail.

So, if you let me make a suggestion, change the PSU for something a bit more reliable and go for a cheaper Video Card if you can't wait. If you want to risk it, then the 1060 6GB *should* be fine with that 450W PSU.

Cheers!

For low wattage PSUs I like Antec. I bought one for my HTPC after some research. Unfortunately, the one I have is not longer being produced. In case you find it, it's the Earthwatt series old 500W. The new ones are actually more expensive.

So, following my own tradition, look at this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0FU3ZB0223

It's 430W, but from a very decent vendor and provides more 12V rails amperage. Also has ActivePFC and it's 80+ efficient.

I'm sure there might be other PSUs around that will have similar specs, so from the top of my head, I can recommend Thermaltake (TP series) and Corsair (CX series). I've read Rosewill are also good, but I have no first hand experience with them.

In regards to the video card, Gigabyte 1060 6GB is a great value: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125879

4-pin is for the motherboard and is universal, no need to keep bringing it up

and no that power supply is garbage

also having a gen one i3 means a 1060 is too much, get a rx 460 or gtx 950

if you want a 1060, then you are going to also upgrade the cpu to at least an i5, but ideally an i7 compatible with your motherboard

get a tier 1 or 2 unit from this list in 500w or better:

Maxalge is saying: my 1st generation i3 is too much for my gtx 1060. I didn't add my gpu in my cpu. If it doesn't run,i will be in great danger. I can't buy a processor.. psu that I want is:::::::: (http://m.bdstall.com/details/gamemax-sh-700-ultra-silen...)....................'.........or. : (http://www.startech.com.bd/antec-vp500p-500-watt-power-...)

This PSU looks decent enough and it's within reasonable range it seems: http://www.startech.com.bd/antec-vp550c-ec-550-watt-power-supply

I like PSUs with ActivePFC, so I always tend to recommend them over similarly priced (in your case, the same price) PSUs that don't have it.

In regards to your i3... It's fine. No matter the bottleneck the rest of the computer gives the 1060, you will still see a massive increase in performance for video games. Plus, if you ever decide to change the CPU and other stuff, you can always keep the PSU and Video Card.

Cheers!

MERGED QUESTION
Question from Akib hoque : "Can I run nvidia gtx 1060 with my first generation intel i3 processor."

So, should I install i5 1st generation. Because, my motherboard only supports 1st gen processors. Socket:lga1561. I5 will cost much so,which one will be better for my motherboard to run nvidia gtx 1060.

You are missing the point. Its not that the 1060 on that system wont be better, its that it wont be significantly better despite the huge reletive cost.

Trust me, I have a system very similar to this, with a better quad core cpu (xeon x3430) overclocked to 3.7Ghz, and even then it bottlenecks a GTX 660. A 1060 is a huge waste of money on this platform IMHO.
