Missing pins on FX 8120... can it fry a motherboard?

I have an FX 8120 that supposedly works fine, if it wasn't because someone bent many pins and broke two. I can fix the bent pins, but I don't know how to fix the broken ones and I want to see if it works. Thing is, I'm scared that I'll fry my motherboard because of trying.

usually the motherboard would be fine, you would just get blue screen, crash or shut down.

I bother because I'm too poor to buy another motherboard and this processor is better than mine. So, if it can be done, I'll fix the CPU and use it.

it depends on what the affected pins control. if they are for something like voltage control or the memory controller it will not work at all or be really unstable. i doubt it would fry it though

Good to know. I'm always afraid of trying this kind of stuff before asking... I already fried my last video card with a bad cpu... it had a short circuit and luckily didn't fry my whole pcb
