Lets get a couple things cleared up so we can track it down.
When you say you get FPS loss, what kind of program or monitoring software are you using?
You mention production, are you doing some kind of rendering? Getting lag in blender or something?
SSD might be holding your OS which is fine, but what about project files, things you're working on?

Sorry, there was a typo in my original question - I meant to say destroys my productivity, when I need to be getting things done on my computer it makes it impossible to do general things like switching browsers or typing things fluently.
