Just updated comp. After 8 years..
MSI 990fxa gaming
AMD fx8320e
EVGA gtx950 ftw
G.skill Ripjaw DDR 3 ,1600 CL9 12gb
PSU- Cougar CX 700 80+ bronze
Looking to run this at 4ghz, what would a good, genetic starting point be for cpu-nb voltage, CPU voltage and any other thing I may have to adjust for 4 GHz???? Thanks in advance!

Solution
Just upvolting RAM is not going to produce higher frequency or lower Cl by itself but may help you when you lower it to keep stable, that's all.
In any case, it's best to keep as low voltage as possible without compromising stability but may prove tricky and require a lot of fiddling and testing. Nobody can tell you what settings and results you'll get.

Already did that... multiplier to 20, had to " up" CPU voltage to 1.244 to get Windows to load, turned off quiet and cool and turbo boost....froze 15 minutes into game...noticed ram (timings) on three of the 4 sticks were 10 and 11, not 9.

So, the higher I can volt the DRAM, the lower my CL will change?( Obviously, I want the lowest voltage possible) Currently chip is at 1.344 and DRAM is 1.60 but still a bit high. But runs P95 with no core errors.
Any CPU- NB adjustments needed? I saw Tempin1 around 48c at idle before I started test..went to a high of 59c
