I've been trying to figure out a inexpensive way to move to Intel and a smaller form factor. I'd really like to reuse as many components as I can which isn't much since the motherboard and CPU are AMD. However, I do want to reuse my PSU and Video card, both are the most expensive items in my computer. Here's the specs I'm currently considering. Keep in mind, I do not plan on overclocking.

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i
Motherboard: MSI H170I Pro AC
Memory: Kingston HyperX DDR4-2133 (2x4GB)
Storage: 1 Crucial 240GB SSD, 1 PNY 120 GB SSD
Video Card: MSI R9 380 4GB
Case: Silverstone SG13 (With the mesh front for better airflow)
PSU EVGA 750w G2

The case doesn't officially support both the PSU and the GPU, but I have read that it is possible. If I remove the top storage bracket I should be able to fit the PSU without to much trouble and then I could mount one SSD on the bottom mount and stack the second one on top with velcro? I'm not sure how that would work, but I think I've seen Linus do it.

As for the GPU, I've seen some videos where they have been able to fit a MSI GTX 970 which is supposedly 10.59" and my 380 is 10.55" so I think that shouldn't be a problem.

First of all, does it sound like a good idea or not?

Second, IF it is a good idea, how would I handle cooling? Should the front fan be intake or exhaust? and should the PSU be facing down or up? Also, I've notice my GPU gets pretty hot when gaming, will that be a problem?

Thanks for any help or suggestions!
