Hi y'all

I'm planing my first build (from scratch), and I'm kinda worried about mobo+RAM compatibility, since where I live, RMA is not an viable option. Concerning the motherboard, I have narrowed the choice down to:
Asus Z170-A (or perhaps the Pro Gaming)
MSI Z170A Gaming Pro

As for the RAM, I'm gonna go with 2x8GB sticks of G.Skill Ripjaws V 3000Mhz CL15 RAM
(http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3000c15d-16gvrb)

Both motherboards cost the same, and I would rather go with the Asus one, since user reviews seem more positive. But the problem is, that exact RAM kit is not listed in Asus' QVL for the Z170-A, nor on G.Skill's site. On the other hand, the MSI board is listed in the QVL for the RAM kit, along with pretty much every MSI Z170 mobo.

So I was wondering, should I go with the Asus board and cross my fingers, or get just the MSI one, and play it (relatively) safe?

Wow, thanks for the speedy answer. One more tiny question: would a Pro Gaming be a better choice than Z-170A for a 6600K? As I can see, they are pretty much the same, except for the audio and looks, and a €10 difference; so I am not sure if I'm missing something
