Wondering about upgrade to avoid bottleneck caused by cpu

So recently I decided to buy a new computer for gaming without fully researching it like I should have. After using it some with results that weren't as good as I expected I did some research and found the problem. I have a 144 hz monitor and want fps to be around there or close to it for the games I play, most of which aren't extremely taxing. It has an amd 8300 processor and a Gtx 1070 gpu. What new motherboard, ram, and processor would you recommend to avoid a bottleneck or would it be best to wait for the zen processors to come out and see if it brings prices down? It still works for what I want it to do but would just prefer to maximize the potential. Thanks!

If you wanted parts now, a good match would be this:

I threw in a decent mid range cpu cooler that will do just fine for you, not sure if you already have a decent one...
I would probably wait until Zen / Kaby Lakes to release, yes. The thing about your AMD CPU is that it's from 2012 and not nearly as efficient in pretty much every way versus the weakest of the last intel series. However, when AMD releases a new CPU socket they're usually fairly good when put alongside their Intel counterparts.

I threw in a decent mid range cpu cooler that will do just fine for you, not sure if you already have a decent one though. This will be pretty well matched with a 1070 and a good ballence between performance and cost.

If you wait for Zen and kaby lake you are going to be waiting until the end of this year or start of the next, if you can wait that long, great, otherwise, just get these parts.

Oh I was just thinking that the zen processors would provide more competition and cause it to shake up pricing for Intel, I guess I'll just see what happens. Might end up upgrading to kaby lake.
