Is my gpu dying?

I am running a Gigabyte r9 280x windforce 3x oc rev 2 and I have been noticing some strange things lately. In gta 5 I have this problem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIeGvVxucXk
And running Modded Minecraft for long periods of time sometimes I get a slightly similar problem it just happens for a split second now and then until I reset the game. Also browsing in chrome some times I notice like a square block of smaller blocks flashing until I refresh the page.
I have run Furmark, Valley Benchmark and MSI Kombustor without being able to produce any errors. And my temperatures always remain in about the 40s to 60.

Try turning the memory down by 100mhz and the gpu clock down by 60mhz.

I had a HD-7850 gigabyte OC, 2 fan windforce. It too wont run at it's stock OC speed of 900mhz. 1200mem.
I set up msi afterburner to start with windows and apply OC settings.
1. Make a custom fan profile. Find a min fan speed that is still quiet, set this as the min speed.
For my GTX680 and 670 it's set to min 50% fan till 60C. Then it's 66% till 70C, and 80% fan at 70C and it ramps up to 100% fan by 80C.
(You have to find a compromise between noise and low temps.)
2. Set the memory lower by 100mhz and the gpu core lower by 60mhz.
3. Once you have the problem solved, try the mem clock at 50 less and gpu at 20mhx less. (this worked for my Gigabyte card.)
4. Also set the power tune to increase the power by something like 10% so the card doesn't throttle.

-My 2nd card a Asus 7850 would run faster but i set both at 880\1150 for the longest time. (Stock speed is 860\1200)

-Some newer drivers push the gpu harder, to improve performance amd has changed how the cards throttle so it's sort of like overclocking.
This resulted in crashes in Doom, Watch dogs and Metro last light redux. Changing the fan profile to be a bit more aggressive fixed it. (close to the one i am using with the GTX680 and 670)

I no longer have the 7850's i traded them for the GTX670.

In the amd software I set up a profile for GTA 5 dropped the memory by 100 and the clock by 50 and set it to lock at 60 fps. But I started getting Screen tearing so I put on vsync in game and it stop it. so far no glitching has accrued. Will this work with things like the curse launcher and other minecraft launchers by adding their exe into a profile?

Ya it's the infamous gigabyte OC card that cant do what they claim.

-Set the card to run at those speeds in the Global settings so it works for all 3d games.
-It is still better to use MSI afterburner so you can make a custom fan profile. You can also record gameplay with MSI afterburner and take screenshots. I set mine to enable the on screen display with Page Up, disable is Page down, Screen shot, End, The - number pad to start\stop recording. (It's at the top right corner of the numberpad so it's easy to remember) Do not use the F keys like F12 because many games use those keys too.
