no display through motherboard hdmi port

i hav an asus h97 pro mobo
i just bought the zotac gtx 750 ti
but when i installed the gtx 750 ti and plugged the hdmi to mobo no display was there
gpu uses an mhdmi port and i don't hav that so i today hav ordered that
why is there no display???

your graphics will be displayed out of the card. plugging your display into your mobo rather than graphics card will result in no display like you are experincing. You will just have to wait for your adapter to arrive
