I have an error and my pc wont boot up need help

My pc wont boot up after I reinstalled my ram I just took it out and then put back in though I may have seated it wrong at first but I didnt press hard heck I ended up not installing it and brought someone to install it for me he told me I should have pressed harder so I was very gentle with it and I dont think I broke it but now whenever I try to turn on my system it beeps 5 times and then turns off then back on and every time it turns on first thing that happens that I noticed the cpu fan spins for a spin then stops then starts spinning normaly then I hear 5 beeps 2 seconds long each my system specs are
Gigabyte H110m S2PH
Gtx 970 G1 Gaming
Core i5 6400
Ram 1x8GB HyperX Fury 2400Mhz

I dont know my bios type or version or if 2 second long beeps are long or short so I dont know what this error beep code means

Also I have windows 10 if thats of any help.

Also its not old I only had this PC for 3 days all of it I bought it and built it from the ground up so all the parts are 3 days old.

for gigabyte, 5 short beep ：CPU error, check if you have socket-ed your CPU alignment properly, and your PSU connected to the motherboard CPU power

But how does resocketing the ram affect the cpu I only resocketed the ram then it stopped working

You should check out your RAM as well.

dude, I woudn't know what's going on when Im communicating with you over the net and you telling me what you're observing. And from what i got to know it's 5 beeps. So with 5 beeps on a gigabyte motherboard, the manufacturer states that it's a CPU error.

Well I dont smell barbecue and the pc was assembeled by a professional not by me and the whole reason I reseated the ram is my monitor wasnt recognizing my pc although the dvi cable was firmly in place when i restarted the boot menu and startup windows logo show up on the monitor then it loses signal so I read online to try and reseat the ram so I said well that seems stupid but what am I gonna lose then well this happened thats all oh and also the cpu fan thing

1 long beep and 3 short beep ：AGP error
1 long beep and 9 short beep ：Memory Error
Continuous long beep ：Memory not correctly installed
Continuous short beep ：Power supply unit failed

2.AMI BIOS

1 short beep ：Memory Error
2 short beep：Memory parity check error.
3 short beep ：basic memory 64K address check error
4 short beep ：Real Time Clock malfunction .
5 short beep ：CPU error
6 short beep：Keyboard error
7 short beep ：CPU interruption error
8 short beep：Graphic card error
9 short beep ：Memory error
10 short beep ：CMOS error
11 short beep ：CPU cache memory malfunction

These will be the sound that you'll need to look out for.

Okay, first of all your Mobo, the Gigabyte H110 M S2PH uses AMI BIOS. Here, take a look at the specs yourself,

Now, the BIOS beep codes vary from firm to firm and according to AMI, 5 short beeps mean - The system CPU has failed. This shall help you a bit - http://www.bioscentral.com/beepcodes/amibeep.htm

You might be wondering how come a brand new CPU have failed, that too when the initial issue was with the RAM which was not sitting properly. Well, TBH, there are plenty of reasons as to what might have caused the problem, but what I suspect is that the CPU too had been installed improperly or forced to sit into its place without caring much for its orientation - which might have damaged the pins on the socket.

If that is not the case then did you take effective measure to expel any static electricity build up while assembling your PC? As far as I know, static electricity can fry any component including your processor and render it useless.

Not to forget, the processor might have been a defective one to begin with and hence it will be a good thing to get in touch with customer care and see if you can get a replacement.

You may also try clearing CMOS memory, and replace the CMOS battery with a new one of the same type before you proceed to do anything else.

Okay 1st of all I didnt assemble and sencondly it worked once so how come it be defective to begin with it worked for 3 days of extreme gaming and if it hasnt been installed correctly just forced into place would it have worked in the first place?

Aah...it is just one of the many possibilities that we are looking at, and since you did not mention it earlier that you were able to boot up successfully and game on it, it did cross my mind that the processor too had been installed in the wrong manner. One less possibility to eliminate now.

If you have access to a similar setup with the same motherboard then try swapping the processors and see what happens - that shall answer a lot of questions.

But before trying anything else, procure a new CMOS battery and replace the one you have. In many cases a faulty CMOS battery may also display symptoms similar to those experienced due to a faulty processor.

Okay but what would make a cmos battery faulty then? Could it be misplaced I remember I touched it while I was trying to seat the ram could removing it then re inserting it solve the problem?

It's easy and cheap - definitely worth giving a try. CMOS battery is nothing but the same Lithium batteries which are used to power a host of other electronic products and like any other Lithium battery it may run out over a period of time.

I haven't experienced any problem due to a faulty CMOS battery myself but have come across a few posts where people have solved their issue, very similar to that of yours by simply replacing the CMOS battery. Thus I am asking you to do a CMOS battery check to eliminate any false positives.

I highly doubt that your CPU is at fault, but it is always good to be very sure before taking any major step.

Okay but I wanna know what could make it faulty cause I am pretty sure it isnt drained its only 3 days old so it must be something else also would something like a CMOS battery prevent the pc from booting is it that serious??
