I just got the LG 34um68-p Ultrawide Monitor, and I noticed that the Freesync is only availible with the AMD GPU's. So I am considering getting a Radeon RX 480 Gaming X 4GB.

But my question is, would it do the job for me?
And If not, what would be a good alternative for around 250€?

My system:
I7 4770
16 GB Ram
LG 34um68-p

1060 6gb > rx 480 > 1060 3gb

ahhh, looking at prices on gpu's in that website the best would be the 4gb nitro

Thanks! So that GPU could support the ultrawide monitor with high quality gaming?

Thanks, but should I give up the AMD freesync ability that my monitor has for the MSI-GeForce-GTX-1060-6GT-OC-6GB?

look up the games you want to play and see the fps difference, see if freesync would actually help

Seeing the 480 8gb winging it by a good 10fps on doom & gta V at 2560x1080

& thats a reference model 480 vs a g1 gaming 1060 at that.

Oh thanks, Interesting video. I think that after watching this im going for the:
https://www.4launch.nl/product/372783/372783-Sapphire-Radeon-RX-480-Nitro+-8GB
So I get the fps + the freesync ability
Hope its a good choice

75htz freesync monitor Id go for the 480 plain & simple myself.
Nvidia has adaptive vsync built in which does a decent job anyway , amd has a native adaptive vsync built into the drivers but its not as good as nvidia's.

choice is yours really , the fact is that on 95% of current titles both those cards will push more than 75fps anyway paired with your cpu.

On highish settings h1z1 & other arma engine based games will NOT push more than 60fps with either card , in that respect the 480 is going to look smoother on a freesync screen imo.

Its a pity the g1 rx 480 isnt in stock as it looks a good buy.

Could get this one:
https://www.cdromland.nl/product/941/976202/Gigabyte-Radeon-GV-RX480G1-GAMING-8GD

I can't find the difference between G1, Gaming X and the Nitro+, which one is the best?
