Hi All,

I have tried to find the answer to this issue and am struggling. Would appreciate this forum's help.

I have recently moved to Dubai and the flat we have has a main hub for internet and phone connections. There are also many Ethernet ports around the flat conveniently numbered all leading back to the main hub where they are also clearly labelled.

Internet is up and running from the main hub. We have the modem and a router there emitting a working wifi signal. Plugging in PC or PS4 into the wall ports works fine provided there is LAN cable leading to the right numbered port and modem in main hub and all works well with stable internet access.

What I want to do now is plug a 2nd router into the Ethernet port in the wall in the bedroom to emit a further wifi signal as its very very weak there and non existent when the door is closed.

I have a second router (a Linksys E1200) and have tried to plug it into wall in bedroom. It emits a wifi signal that I can connect to but no internet access. I have also tried to play with router settings, trying to put it into 'Bridge mode' but failed spectacularly. I have now reset the 2nd router and given up as wasn't getting anywhere.

Is this possible to do easily and if so how do I do it. I was hoping it would be as simple as plugging in the router and it will emit the same signal being sent from the main router but alas no.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Billy
