Hello everyone,

I am most likely be buying a cpu in the near future what is the best day to buy it.
Looking for a i5-6500 or an i5-6600(regular/k version)
I will also need a mobo and ram.

The close dates are black fida, cyber monday and Boxing day

Thanks everyone

Solution
Black Friday/Cyber Monday and Boxing Day are mostly used to clear 'old' stock - not necessarily the 'top of the line'.

As the 6600K is the best i5, and the 6500 isn't far behind it, I wouldn't expect to see any dramatic savings any day soon.

Sometimes looking for a 'bundle' discount (with a motherboard & RAM sometimes) can net you a good deal. Don't focus too much on 'savings' from list price for the 'bundle' though. Usually they're paired with an overpriced board or RAM, so the $X saving you see doesn't matter too much when you consider the available alternatives.

All of the above as far as best deal day. There's different deals on different days and retailers now use the whole month for sales for clearing old stock as stated. But also true is that you'd never see cpus go on sale since there aren't new models at the new year.
