I bought some memory (listed below) for my motherboard, Intel DQ67SW running an I5 2400 3.1ghz.

APACER 8GB(2X4GB)DDR3 RAM MEMORY PC3-10600 1333MHZ 240-PIN CL9- P/N 75B83C1G120B

I have updated to the latest bios.

I use Dim slots 2 and 4, the blue ones (as stated by the manual), with a 2GB ram stick in each, everything is fine.

If I add one 4GB stick to dim slot 2, its fine, runs with 4GB ram, if I add the second to dim slot 4, my pc doesn't load, fans work, screen stays black. Both ram sticks work when alone, they just don't work together. Im not sure what this problem is, but I don't think it is compatibility as the ram sticks do work when alone.

Any help?

I want to get one last opinion before I return the ram sticks just in case someone knows how to fix it.

Its not on the list, but why does the PC work when only one of them is installed? Doesn't that mean it is compatible?

You could contact Apacer support.
But, I think it would not be worth the time and hassle.
I would return the ram and find a kit that is supported.

Check your mainboard specifications and how memory should be installed. That mainboard says it supports double-sided -OR- Single-sided memory. It may not support them together. Some mainboards are like this. Check your memory sticks and see if one has chips on both sides (double-sided) and the other has chips on only one side (single-sided). You can try one stick in Blue and one in Black and see if it works. SOme mainboards even require specific placement when insterting mixed memory. Single sided-only in A1,A2 or only 1 double-sided mixed with single-sided if installed in B2. etc.
