So for some reason unbeknownst to me, my laptop has hit a wall. It's a ASUS GL752. Yesterday, it got really slow and task manager showed the Disk at 100%. So I did all the things online to rememdy this but it still is at 100 and now it barely even boots.

I have disabled flash, stopped the search hints for windows, disabled things and checked for viruses. All have helped nada.

So I come to y'all, what else can I do?

Solution
Improper handling, either of the HDD or the laptop. This could have happened before you got it.

You should be able to RMA it, if under warranty.

That's the thing, nothing is showing lots of use.

I have let it run for the past 8 hours and nothing is updating. I fixed it for about 3 hours last night but that was only achieved by restarting it like 5 times.

Hi there Pyrofan,

What is your OS?
I would agree with helpstar. The drive could be failing. It may be a good idea to back up the data stored on it and test it with some of these: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility

You can boot into safe mode as well. In case the issue persists, then all of this could be hardware related. In case it doesn't, it is most probably caused by OS/services.

Cheers,

Ok so I am trying to run these test (don't really know what the results should look like) but as for temps and hard drive being unplugged, temps are normal. And for the hard drive, I have no idea how to check that on a laptop without voiding a warranty.

And the OS is Windows 10

So, HD Tune about 67 gB into its scan of 1 Tb and it has found 47% damaged sectors and that's only rising. The other programs didn't show any high usage. How can this much damage be on laptop that's like 3 months old?
