Well, this is odd, my psu starts making like clicky-electric sounds every like 2 hours, average, it sounds for like 3 secs then stops, is it dangerous?
btw is a 650w corsair psu that came with the case, It is 3 years old, is it time to change it? D:

I highly doubt it. More accurately what will happen often is the the 12V rail(s) will start to give out inconsistent power -but you would be suffering from crashes/stabilty issues if that were the case.

That noise...

Yes, an unstable power supply will start to cause all sorts of weird stability issues. PSU's are rated in tiers (tier 1 being the best, 4-5 being cheap. Here's a a link to a guide for that.

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

I would get one that's at least tier 2. The cheaper ones use crappy sub-par transistors and other components that are low quality.

But is there any risk of still running with that psu?? the electricity noises appear very rarely now that I think of it, not every 2 hours, but sometimes it keeps for longer, what could be the consequences of running with that??
also, my motherboard is a cheap 970a-d3 from gigabyte, it is 3 years old, can it cause some kind of trouble? it has a 4+1 power phase and running with an fx-8350 a coolermaster hyper evo 212 and a gtx 960 attached to it, can they like, drain more power than it can deliver and slowly kill it?

That noise you are hearing is probably the PSU fan starting to die.

well, thanks a lot m8. Another issue btw, when I use the mouse to move myself around the map when using the black ops 3 map tools which came out as an open beta yesterday, an annoying buzzing sound comes from the motherboard, it only sounds when I drag my mouse around the 3d modeled map xDDD, what could be causing that? it happens in every usb port, is it some kind of negative feedback?
