I have built a new pc and want to intsall win 10 on the ssd but when i boot, the windows 10 logo appears for about 2 minutes then the pc restarts and nothing happens.

If I swap out the SSD for an old Sata drive, use the same connectors and reboot I get windows logo for a few minutes and then the install options appear

asrock fatality H170 performance mb

MERGED QUESTION
Question from bobghw : "Unable to install win 10 on SSD"

Have built new pc

Asrock fatality H170 performance MB

16gb DDR4 ram

I5 6600 cpu

other components not installed until after OS is loaded.

PC boots and the win 10 log appears for a couple of minutes then the pc restarts and nothing else happens??
I can connect old sata drive to same connectors and when I boot after a couple of minutes I get the first install options screen.
So why won't it install to SSD?

Updated bios to 2.3, PC restarted halfway through so bricked but took out cmos battery left overnight and in morning put battery back in and it booted to usb and continued update which was successful. But still couldn't install so sent mboard back to vendor who replaced rebuilt pc and booted to win 10 disk and installed.

So mother board was the culprit.
