or will it have to be this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ballistix-PC3-12800-240-Pin-Memory-BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU/dp/B006YG94Y2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1475103237&sr=8-3&keywords=8gb+ram+ddr3+udimm

I'm basically looking to upgrade my ram. Here is my PC;

http://support.hp.com/id-en/document/c03538773

If you go onto the memory tab and look at upgrade, it doesn't specify the pc3-14900 but does the pc3-12800.

I'm currently on single channel ram ones 2gb the other 4gb. looking to replace with two 4 sticks of the same ram in dual channel as I'm running into problems.

Will either be ok or should I stick to the sport and not the tactical?

(There is also this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ballistix-Elite-PC3-17000-240-Pin-Memory/dp/B01BPFC1ZU/ref=sr_1_35?ie=UTF8&qid=1475103547&sr=8-35&keywords=8gb+ram+ddr3+udimm which I believe is more performance for roughly the same money but again not sure as its not pc3-12800

Hello... The memory controller is on your i7 3770 and states "DDR3 1333/1600" Non-ECC http://ark.intel.com/products/65719/Intel-Core-i7-3770-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz

Typically you need matching DDR3 12800u NON-ECC 1.5V dimm sticks for 1600 speed and dual channel operation... there for I suggest going with the BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU for best compatibility with your CPU and MB. Typically you should have a MAX of 8gb sticks per slot, with your CPU/MB... I use 2x8gb sticks of the same ram in other i7 3770 builds of mine without any problems, Crucial is a GOOD company and that RAM model is too... B )

Brilliant, thanks a lot! Will order these soon then. Glad to know they're reputable and they seem to be well reviewed. I would go with 2x8gb if I could afford but ill make do with the 8gb overall dual channelled in two 4gbs as I'm sure the difference will be superior to what I'm currently using.

So I ended up buying these today, https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00A14ZTRO/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE , will be coming tomorrow. I believe them to be pretty much the same as the sport but I preferred the look and in reviews they just topped out over, all should still be fine right?

Hello... I have a set of the Larger 1.5 volt models in a i7 3770 system... those are low voltage models at 1.35 volt... I haven't tried a set these yet... I would suggest checking/lowering the BIO's RAM voltage after a successful BOOT... If your HP BIO's will let you? B / let me know how it goes...
