Does this adapter is used to convert onboard sata to minisas port?

I need adapter to convert on-board sata port to external minisas sff8088 since my hard disk enclosure is sff8088 interface. Does this adapter is used for this?

No, that adapter converts 1 SAS port into 4 sata. A SAS controller will usually support Sata but a Sata controller will not support SAS. So you can go from SAS to Sata but you can't go Sata to SAS.

For what you are wanting to do you will need to buy a SAS controller card with an external SAS port and that's going to cost ~$150+.
