hello! I have an asus z170-a mobo, which can support 2 way sli (which I'm going to set up next week once my other card get here). However it has a third PCIe slot. I was curious if it's possible to put an old evga 750ti from my old PC in that third slot, just for the sake of tinkering. Would it provide any benefit? Or is it not even worth the hassle. Would there be any conflicts with the sli? This is the first time I've ever tapped into sli. :)

i don't think your right on the 750ti being used for Physx. I think you can use anything from Geforce 8 upwards (8800gts etc) although some games have higher usage requirements for Physx, the 750ti should be very capable with it.

Yeah I didn't think there would be any substantial benefit. As you said it would just heat up my machine. I'll probably try and sell it and buy a nice sushi dinner somewhere. Thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated! :)
