Hi,this is my first time building a pc and I'm very worried that static electicity will kill my precious pc parts.I have a surge protector that is connected with another surge protector that is plugged in a socket,I also have a radiator.

-If I put on an antistatic wrist band that is connected to my pc case with the psu plugged in the 2 surge protectors and the socket with the power turned off in the surge protectors and the pcoff, will I get zapped?

-If I connect my anti wrist strap with an antistatic mat that is on the floor or on my desk, will it work?

-If i connect myself with the radiator will this work or my pc parts wil still get zapped?

Im really afraid even buying my own pc so please I would like some official information from someone that knows how to operate pc components or knows how electronics works.

Solution
Do not daisy-chain power cord extensions, that includes surge protectors. Every place I worked at would fail audits if anyone used daisy chained surge protectors. If you are worried about electrical issues, that is the first thing to do.

You can read this for more information. Very small amounts of ESD can build up to degrade components over time, however, in my experience of upgrading many different PCs numerous times, i have never bothered with ESD mat/Wristband. Simply touching any un-painted part of the metal case has been fine for me. This is not recommended, as it can destroy components, but really don't be overly worried about and just do what you can to avoid it. Also when the components are not in the case, it is wise to put them in ESD bags

Well, I killed an Intel processor once....zapped it to be exact.
This happened only once in my entire life after building more than 100 rigs.
The possibility that you really damage a component due to static electricity is very rare but it does happen.
There are products like anti-static band, matt, etc.
But you can also simply do these before you touch any components:
- Do not build the PC on carpet or by standing on carpet.
- Touch any grounded metal after ech 5-10 mins (room heater, water pipe, unpainted part of the case while having it connected to ground, etc.)

If i connect my psu to only one surge protector, will I be grounded properly?

Of course, as long as the wall plug is grounded.
