Hello i recently baught my gtx 1060 3gb and when i started playing bf4 (no overclock) the screen went black and the gpu fan went crazy, after testing and changing things i knew that power was the problem, i had to limit the tdp to 52%. When idle on 100% tdp everything works fine its only under load when the bad thins happen. Does limiting the tdp even make a differnece inn fps? I have a 450w psu and the recommendation for the gtx 1060 is 400w psu so i don't know what the problem is

im using a single sata to six pin adapter so maybe that is the problem, but i dont know, im getting worse fps than a gtx 950, please help

System specs

core i3 6100
1tb hhd
gtx 1060 3gb (zotac)
8gig ddr4 2133mhz ram

Yes, you are essentially limiting how much power the card can draw, so it will run a much lower clock speed because of the power limit. You will obviously get a much lower performance by doing that.

By limiting to 52% tdp, you are basically capping it it at about 65w.
