Hello, im having problems with my new ram cards.
I had 1 4gb card and I bought 2 8gb card (witch is supported by the mobo)
when I first put them in the computer he turned on his fans and leds and powered down after 5-10 seconds and just cycle like that, I then notice that the card are 1600 and the cmobo supports only upto 1333 so I figured it was the problem and replaced them with 2 8gb 1333 card and the same issue occurs only now even when I put the original card it still happens so now I cant even give you proper specs, the mother board is gigabyte, I think m61 something but im not sure, any way I looked online and couldn't find any solution, any help would be much appreciated.

Can you provide a detailed model number information about your motherboard? The 4gb RAM card is DDR3 or DDR2 etc?

As I said, the computer won't turn on at all so I can't check it, all I know is its made by gigabyte.
I'll try and look into it when I get home.
The ram is ddr3.

Hello... Any time you change memory you should first re-move the MB battery and reset/clear the CMOS memory (Jumper pins)... remove jumper and replace the battery... this will force the BIO's to re-read the installed memory sticks and set new communications with them on the next BOOT.
If you still have problems... The MB model and brand should be painted on the MB for us to look deeper into the problem... not all DDR3 is made (communcates) the same and not all chipsets use the same memory types.

Yes, my brother tried that with the battery, but what are jumpers?

Hello... The battery holds/maintains the CMOS memory... there is also a capacitor on the MB that holds it too... the pins and jumper is typically located by the battery... this will drain the capacitor too... and the CMOS memory bits will be zero'd out... the BIO's will re-read the hardware and set new Memory communications information back into the CMOS chip... on the next BOOT.

And I now found the mobo manual, by it the ram is 100% supported.
Also tried what you said ironsound, I unpluged the computer by the manual and hit the jumpers and removed the battery trying both with new ram and old ram, no change.
Is there any indication that the jumpers are activated?
Because I couldn't tell and the manual doesn't say.

Hello... 1) you remove the battery first... then jumper for ~2mins
2) Remove jumper... and replace battery
3) Place ram sticks in desired position
4) Boot computer for new memory/CMOS settings to be installed.

*** If you, or someone else?, jumpered without removing the battery... the battery will be shorted or drained... make sense? and then pick up a new battery, 2 for $ @ $store

Your intel chipset H61 MB should be using 8gb 2Rx8 PC3-12800U DDR3 1600 UDIMMs (non-ecc) sticks... I have used the Basic Micron/Crucial, and Samsung CL11 models and also Crucial Ballistic Tactical CL8 models on the 60 and 70 series intel chipsets. B /

Like I said DDR3 is just a generic package size form factor... What memory chips and circuits that get put on these circuit boards can AND do very in communications to the chipsets.

I tried your steps, still doesnt work, ill check tomorrow if its the battery.
And I don't understand half of what you said about what ram I sould be using
All I know is ddr3 1600, the rest I don't know, would you mind explaining yourself a bit more?

Sorry for the trouble, english isn't my native language.
