From my ISP and it has some performance issues with wireless signal so i got one of these

as well as one of this

So what I did was bridge the Arris turning off its wireless and DCHP features and connected the netgear to it via Ethernet making the netgear the primary source for devices. I then extended the range of the netgear using the extender.

The problem I'm facing is that I have a really slow wireless connection at times( even while in close proximity of devices). Although my wired connection seems to be ok.

I have an old Linksys model

with the DD-WRT firmware installed and was wondering if adding or swapping it with the current devices would improve the performance

What can I do to improve the performance? or could this be an ISP issue?

Seeing as your wired speeds are working fine it may have to do with the device your using for wireless. If the problem was your ISP then both your wired and wireless speeds would be slow. You may want to try swapping out the devices and see if that improves your performance.
