So I messed up when I was installing a new HDD. I accidentally told my Windows 8.1 computer tomake the new one my main HDD and boot from that one, and when I told it to go back to the main HDD, it apparently wiped out my boot up settings so now im greeted by this message upon startup:

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware change or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:

1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. choose your language settings, and then click "next."
3. Click "repair your computer."

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance

File: \Boot\BCD

Status: 0xc000000f

Info: The boot configuration Beta for our PC is missing or contains errors.

Didnt realize what I had done until I tried to reboot my PC later in the day. Ive been told by a few sources to do the windows 8.1 disc repair option but I dont have my copy anymore and I currently dont have the money to go buy one or take it to a shop to do it for me. Which pisses me off because I just upgraded alot of parts and was looking forward to playing some games with them. Any help is appreciated.

If you have access to a second computer, you can burn your own windows 8.1 repair disk and use it, or even put it on a USB. A google search would help you find it. I don't have more time to type and this is the most help i can provide you at the moment. I'll try to help more tomorow
