Do I need a graphics card?

I do not have a graphics card, and I cannot play minecraft Geometry Dash/ CS:GO / GTA
So do I need a graphics card to play games? Also, do you need a graphics card to update/have graphics drivers

I always get a 'Pixel format not accelerated' error. Then when I try to fix it by downloading/update the Chipset Device Software, it always fails... Loading up CS:GO i get this: Marked unsupported: 0 Supports PCF Sampling: 0 DriverName: "Microsoft Basic Render Driver" and Geometry Dash doesn't even load... Do I need a graphics card for graphics drivers?

While you don't necessarily need a graphics card to use your computer, you most definitely need a GPU to play GTA, without a doubt. Do you have a laptop or desktop?

Okay, you should buy a GPU. And yes, you need a Graphics Card to get driver updates. Otherwise what would they be updating?

Yes Kernal thank. I have an Optiplex 330 and I just installed a PCI graphics card from an older computer. My PC has PCI and PCI-E but when I tried to update, it showed no sign of it even being there when I scanned it and when I also tried to update it said the same thing. Does it need to be PCI-E?

The Optiplex is a good choice. I myself have the Optiplex 760. If it's a PCI card, it goes into the PCI slot, if it's PCI-E, it should go into the PCI-E slot.

Not necessarily, take APUs for example. AMD's A10 APU is pretty good.

do you use an optiplex as a gaming pc, what socket does it have for cpu, and it didn't identify my PCI
