my Wi-Fi is really slow and I can't do anything when windows updates, how do I make it stop updating automatically or stop it updating when it trys to

Solution
set windows to metered connection. http://www.howtogeek.com/224471/how-to-prevent-windows-10-from-automatically-downloading-updates/

Please note this doesn't mean you can just ignore updates forever. At some point Windows will force a download regardless of your settings. Microsoft doesn't want people running Windows with no updates for five years anymore.

never allow it to acces the internet ?? that's about it [that's right I forgot . with 10 you cant even install it with out internet ''cloud based OS] .. notice the terms temporally or postpone in the wording of things ?

this is a key part of his answer

''Microsoft doesn't want people running Windows with no updates for five years anymore'

it what Microsoft wants not what you want , get it ?? your personal computer is now a public one with win-10

You can install Win10 without an internet connection. You will need connection at some point after the install to activate, just like every Win OS since XP.

you don't need internet for xp vista or 7 for anything , nice try though better luck next time

see think xp -7 you can phone in the activation 10 you cant xp -7 you can manually download updated 10 you cant heck you cant pick and chose you jusrt accept with 10 -0- choice then thjink 99% of the updates for xp-7 are for internet issues and security anyway ? so if your not on the net you don't even need any of them to start with then you could still get them stand a lone ?

ya , your fooled and a proud 10 user I assume ?

You can phone in the Win 10 activation as well, just like XP/Vista/7/8.
You can download Win 10 Updates as well.
Here is how to get the Anniversary update: http://www.windowscentral.com/windows-10-anniversary-update-iso-available

Or, you can continue to spout misinformation.
