In terms of raw performance. Looks don't particularly matter to me. Noise and heat aren't a problem either, assuming it isn't annoyingly loud.
I was looking at perhaps the Asus Strix OC edition, or the Gigabyte xtreme gaming.
Thoughts?

here is a list of all the models available with specs and links to reviews where available http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3047729/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1000-series-megathread-faq-resources.html#17902598

having read all the reviews i can say that what greens says is right on. not a single card was better than the others once boost 3.0 kicked in. temps and noise were pretty close together as well. those super expensive cards are not worth the cash. grab the one that looks good to you and is priced right. that's the "best" card out there for you :) other than the FE cards, they were all near identical in real world fps. save the extra cash and get a new game with it instead of an extra fan you won't need or some lights you won't see...
They reach power draw limitations long before any thermal issues come up. This means crazy cooling solutions are fairly pointless.
They are all, pound for pound, nearly identical.

There is always bin lottery, but yeah, ostensibly they are all the same for this card.

For a more specific example, I have the EVGA 1080 FTW. Great card. Solid build, good temps, and good spec's (as mentioned by everyone else as they are all nearly the same). Just maybe thought you'd like a specific example. Plus, the EVGA warranty is unparalleled.

Yeah, everyone says they're virtually identical. However, I do care about that extra one or two fps in games, so I would like to know what card would get me those extra 2 fps.

I was hoping you wouldn't say that. The amp extreme is probably the best but it's the only card that doesn't match my build color wise. Plus I heard it tends to sag in the pci slot because of how big it is.
What would be your next choice?
