My transcend do not work. I've tried in my TV it doesn't work either. No beeping sound or sound inside, just dead. Pls help I have important things in there. (Sorry for my bad English)

It's working now, I just left it in my TV on for an hour and it's working now. I think the problem is the power because i didnt use it for a while. Sorry for my bad english

I'm glad to hear that you have managed to get your external HDD detected properly. It does sound like it's a bad USB cable, so I'd suggest you replace it soon. I'd also strongly recommend you backup all important files from the external drive somewhere else as well. The fact that you use on a TV as well as a computer, I assume, could be potentially dangerous to the file system. The best way to prevent any potential data loss at any time is to always keep at least one more copy of your files on a different drive/storage device. Moving your files from an internal HDD to an external one cannot be considered a backup, unless there's a duplicate of the data elsewhere. Better safe than sorry, right?
