Can anyone help me? I'm super new to PC anything and I'm simply trying to get a PC for dirt cheap that can just play the most simple games like Runescape and CSGO at a reasonable FPS. I have a super tight budget and I've seen a lot of replies on here recommending to "save up a little more" but honeslty it would just be super cool to not spend all my money originally and upgrade as I see nesecarry.

I had my eye on the HP Compaq 8000 Elite with 8GB DDR3, would this be worth buying for simple gaming? Thanks

Starting with a refurbed PC has some problems. Many OEM PC's can't be upgraded or need so many things changed that it becomes more cost effective to just by new. Even when upgrading an older system you will still be using outdated hardware and the performance will not be very good. I understand you have low requirements, but you may be better off starting with a new system that will do what you want and won't require upgrades for awhile. You will also get warranty's on the parts. If you don't mind watching a few videos on how to build a computer (it's very easy) and/or having an experienced friend help you, building your own is the cheapest best way to do it.

Here is a budget system capable of playing the games you want on the integrated graphics and you can add a video card later if you want.

Can you elaborate just a bit more on what 'dirt cheap' means? With CSGO at least, you could also use something like Ubuntu as your OS and still play....allowing you to get your foot in the PC door for even less......or perhaps allowing you to add an entry-level GPU like an RX 460 to a build like the above.
