Can keeping the computer on for a long time damage my graphics chipset or processor?

I wanted to install GTA V on my PCand I knew it is gonna take a long time... about 7hours, so I decided to keep my PC on for the whole night and I also set up a shutdown timer. But today in the morning when I switched it on again its optimal resolution had changed from 1366x768 to 1024x768 and I even could not change the resolution to my previous one....so I reinstalled my graphics driver and then tried to change the resolution it worked but the recommended resolution is still 1024x768. I just wanted to know had it damaged my graphics chipset or processor in any way. By the way, I run on HD graphics 530.

Nope it absolutely does not damage anything. I keep my PC turned on for months on end :) Only restart during installs and such. The only part that might experience damage is your monitor - and only if you keep it open for like weeks on end without the on-screen image being changed. A few hours makes no difference.
