I couldn't seem to find the topic on here so I will start it.

I saw that we can use our joysticks for GTA V by using a program called x360ce. I downloaded it and it does like it says. I can actually now use my joystick for GTA V. It took a little while configuring the right settings on my joystick to the game, but it actually worked really well. Here is my problem though. Is there any way that I can use the joystick ONLY for planes and helicopters. The reason why this is an issue, is because since I use my keyboard and mouse for everything, the joystick acts as a second keyboard. There were so many incompatibilities that it made using the joystick such a pain. Sometimes the joystick would take over and sometimes the mouse would. They were in such fighting conflict with each other that it took all the fun out of it.

So, is there any way to use the joystick for ONLY planes and helis? Please let me know. Thank you.

When you start using the keyboard and mouse it should start going to them as default. The same as if you're using a controller and you type something the controls change to the PC controls rather than Xbox. Just refrain from putting any input into the joystick if you can.

Thank you for giving me the confidence to look further into my issue. Apparently my issue was the throttle on my joystick. It has to be in a half way position since in GTA V it requires a forward and reverse. This was causing havoc on my game until I figured this out. Thanks again.
