I remember being able to overclock my Dell Optiplex 755 (LGA 775) with a Core 2 Duo E6750 visa the base clock method with a program called SetFSB. But to do so you need to identify your clock generator.
I know you can OC via base clock on older Z170 BIOS, but can you overclock via SetFSB on a non-Z170, so say a B150 or H110 chipset? If so how can you identify the clock generator?
I'm planning on a build with an i5 6400 but I don't wanna spend extra for a Z170 motherboard. I got a free ID Cooling AIO cooler from a friend so I thought that I might as OC with BCLK. Thanks in advance.
