Hey guys,

you re the only peeps that understand what I would say (in my surrounding at least).

So I had a fully functional RIG:
NVIDIA SLI
6x8gb RIP Jaw 2300 MHZ RAM
intel 5980x
Rampage V Extreme

Then i make the stupid decision of liquid cooling.. After everything is re-installed.. the system boots the first time then never boots again (black screen no BIOS)... After testing the rams one by one one slot at a time, everything worked.. Just couldn't get the system to start.

So I decided to sell the MB and get the 10th edition (maybe the slots were faulty and anyway i was looking for the upgrade - USB c)..

Re-assembled everything..... same issue... so i check if it's the RAM again, and yup, pretty much is the same issue. All RAM sticks are functional (tested one by one) and the same brand and speed. When I fill 4 slots ( the carbon colored ones in the case of my MB) all works fine... as soon as I add any stick to the black colored ones , it wont boot again.....

I'm not sure how to fix this ....

Any suggestions?

Solution
With 6 Sticks and multiple packages of DRAM, it may be sort of out of balance - try raising the DRAM voltage + 0.05 and set the VCCSA voltage to 1.25

If you just put one stick in the black slots does it work? Have you tried disabling XMP and using the default values? These are normally slower than your actual memory but if it came on like that you could try manually setting your memory timings.

damn... re-setup the whole thing.... taking out the RAM is a hassle with hard tubes for liquid cooling in the way... let me try the black slot on it's own. will let you know.
