Hello, I recently built a PC with a Gtx 970 from Gigabyte, it crashes randomly in games and some times even when browsing. But last week, I turned on the computer, the GPU's fan was at 100% and no video signal, and it is no more detected by Windows 10, so I can't install any driver.
This happened after I updated to the lastest driver, before that I was getting some error like "driver didn't respond ..." and ""DPC Watchdog Violation related to nvlddmkm.sys" but nothing like this.
Can someone help me please ?

Specs:

  • Motherboard : Gigabyte Z97-HD3
    PSU : Corsair CX600M
    GPU : Gtx 970 G1 Gaming
    CPU : i5 4460
    RAM : 8Gb

The GPU is practically new, I bought it this year in february.
I had a similar issue before this one, and when it happened I restarted the pc and let it on for one day, then the fans slowed down, restarted it again and it was working, but then it crashed after playing some games after.

Remove the card and boot your PC with the Integrated Graphic Processor. You will have your answer if it work.

Also, if your computer is acting crazy because the gpu is dead, if you try to boot it up too much and actually succeed, your GPU could explode and dame the rest of your PC. I know, it happened to me 3 weeks ago.

However, I believe your PSU might be the problem. 2 GPU doing the same thing and your explanations make me say you should check your PC with another one.

I'am working with the onboard graphic right now, the GPU doesn't prevent the pc from booting up, even when it crashed I could continue working on the pc by switching to my onboard graphic without restarting the computer.
