I have a Dell XPS 8500 wiht an upgraded corsair 620w modular PSU, and Asus Dual RX480 OC. I bought the Cooler Master Evo212 just to find out that it was not compatible with my MB. I am desperately looking for a new cpu cooler because the stock one is extremely loud. All help will be appreciated :)

Current specs:
CPU
Intel Core i5 3350P @ 3.10GHz
Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology
RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28)
Motherboard
Dell Inc. 0NW73C (CPU 1)
Graphics
4GB Asus Dual AMD RX480 (AMD)
Storage
1863GB Seagate ST2000DM001-1CH164 (SATA)

Unfortunately it's one of those moments where the component you're changing is proprietary and will warrant you to either go for the same cooler again or swap out the motherboard altogether. Out of the two the latter is the most expensive as the ram and processor will likely be unusable when looking for a motherboard in this day and age due to price concerns you're better off buying a new platform motherboard, CPU and ram combo.

The issue with the cooler stems from the internal screw threads around the CPU socket

You could take this thread into account with a large grain of salt or you could just change the fan on the stock cooler and call it a day.
