So suddenly without me installing anything new my PC started acting weird. The first problem appeared when i restarted my PC and during the start up it froze for a while and had to shut it down from the button. This happened only once after that it had no problems. The second problem, and currently the one i worry about, happens during gaming. While i play at random times its freeze or slow down, sound too, and then it crashes on desktop without giving me an error or just restarts(even tho restarting is more rare). Something similar happened while i was browsing chrome too, sound froze for half a second. Its totaly random though. there are times that it didnt happen for hours and times that happened in the first 10minutes. I re-installed the gpu drivers and the physx drivers too. Even tried different versions too, but it didnt fix it. I currently dont know whats going on. Nothing new runs on the background or anything. Might be a windows issue, but even then i had no issue with anniversary update unless some recent updates fucked it up.

Also the windows system fail folder is 750mb according to disk cleanup and recently i started getting random screen tearing at steam. Nowhere else though. Only at steam.

EDIT: Event ID: 10016; DistributedCOM i checked the event logs and it appears quite a lot as an error.

was there any usb flash drive connected to pc at the moment of starting bios? and for the second problem it could be from Graphic Card, maybe it's fan is not working properly and its causing to graphic card get hot and generally cause pc to restart, cause i had the same problem once, check your graphic card fan and let me know about the result

Yea i might have and external hdd connected during the bios starting up. But its not the first time i open the pc with it connected. Also i think its might be the graphics card but the temps are fine, in overwatch the temps are even lower than it used to be.

I just run witcher and checked the temps, tried to do exactly what i did before it froze but everything worked fine. I doubt that its a temp issue since it doesnt restart, mostly it just crashes to the desktop. I am starting to believe that its caused by steam. This is just a theory but every time it happened steam was open, the same time i had the issue i started having screen tearing issues with steam. And it only happened(or i only noticed) in games that i dont have in steam. Overwatch and Witcher 3. And chrome but that was just sound freeze. After it happened and i posted it, i restarted my pc, went some witcher, overwatch and life is strange and i had no issues (steam was closed at the first two cases. Ofcourse it was around 30-40 min but still .

Update: Its not steam for sure. Played for 2 hours Life is strange on steam had no problems. Closed steam then launched gog galaxy and witcher 3 crashed to the desktop after 3 minutes and then forced a restart. After that i open steam and gog galaxy played witcher 3 for 10 minutes everything seemed fine. Now i really have no clue what the fuck is going on. I try to think what might have caused this. The only things that updated close the start of the problem is witcher 2 install(through gog) packed with 2015 redistributables, King of fighters 14 an update for Mozilla and 2 updates for windows 10. I will try not to open mozilla at all this time and see if i get it again. If i do get it then i am gonna re-install the redistributables if that doesnt fixes i dont know what it is causing it.

It keeps happening and i cant figure it out. It happened and checked the event log to see what happened. At time x:x:24,when it start to freeze stater, there is an error for the search/cortana UI app, saying that it had to shut down. 2 seconds later at x:x:26 there is warning about the nvidia driver shutting down and being recovered. After that i went back to the game fine. So i am pretty sure that this is the problem, and it appeared after the recent "small" updates. The problem now is that it doesnt appear in earlier dates, i couldnt find it. So i am still not 100% sure. Also how do i deal with it, do i just end the task/service and open it up when i want to search for something? Anyone can help.
