Intermittent connection that affects the router

I can't find any solutions to my problem so I'll make my own thread.
Whenever I turn on my desktop, the router suddenly starts to have an intermittent connection. Without even turning on the CPU, and just by turning on the avr, this problem persists. The pc is connected to the routher through a lan cable. I'm very sure that the problem is not with the router since I've tried connecting laptops to the router and no problem occured. And when I remove the lan cable from the desktop, the router works just fine. I have been using this desktop for 10 months and the problem came up just last month.

I already updated the network drivers, nothing happens. I've also tried to had it fix, but they can't seem to fix it, so I had the motherboard replaced. And STILL, the problem is still here. Any solutions to this?

In most network environments routers have the responsibility to dynamically assign an IP address. That means when a device comes on the network it requests that the router provide it with an IP address. The router will identify an available, unused IP address to the device. When the devices leaves the network the IP address becomes available and may be used for the next request for an IP. Devices may not always received the same IP. There can be rules within the router limiting the number of IP addresses that can be assigned and the range of addresses to be used.

A static IP is an IP address permanently assigned to a device. No other device should be using that IP. In that case, the router is set up (or should be) to reserve the...

Have you tried another known working ethernet cable?

What make and model router are you using?

Can you run "ipconfig /all" from the command prompt and post the results?

One consideration would be an IP address conflict: What IP addresses are being used - especially any static IPs?

Yes, I tried a different working ethernet cable, and it still won't work.

And what do you mean by static IP's?

I just tried connecting my pc to a router in another person's house and found that my pc doesn't cause the problem to a differnt router. What causes my router to disconnect? Does it have something to do with the router's settings??

In most network environments routers have the responsibility to dynamically assign an IP address. That means when a device comes on the network it requests that the router provide it with an IP address. The router will identify an available, unused IP address to the device. When the devices leaves the network the IP address becomes available and may be used for the next request for an IP. Devices may not always received the same IP. There can be rules within the router limiting the number of IP addresses that can be assigned and the range of addresses to be used.

A static IP is an IP address permanently assigned to a device. No other device should be using that IP. In that case, the router is set up (or should be) to reserve the same (static) IP address for a given requesting device. The device is identified by its MAC and normally the static IP is outside of the range of allowed DHCP IP addresses.

In your situation your computer is coming on the network and requesting an IP address from a router whose own IP address is 192.168.1.1 - a very common IP address for a router.

An online search indicates that your ZTE ZHXN H108N Series router's default IP is 192.168.0.1 - trusting that its' default was not changed.

Is your router's IP address 192.168.1.1? That is the IP address your pc is using to request an IP address. If 192.168.1.1 is not your router then your computer will not receive an IP address. Or if some other device has that IP address (by default most likely) then again your computer will not receive and IP address as that device is not a router.

Your pc connected elsewhere because it found a router with an IP (192.168.1.1) that matched the pc's adapter settings and there were no other conflicting IPs via another device.

Check your router's IP address, its subnet mask (255.255.255.0) and do the same for your avr.
