Ram Lag Issue Help!

Did you upgrade by adding 8GB or did you replace your old ram with a 16GB kit? If you added to the existing ram set, remove the addition and see how things are. Please make sure your BIOS is up to date. On another note, what are the rams you've used to perform your upgrade? Along that line, can you please pass on your full system's specs inclusive of your OS?
