hi there

My setup is:

3 year old ThinkPad W530 i5 dual core
16RAM, HDD, NVidia K2000M 2GB

I'm starting on an editing software and it seems the GPU is insufficient. what possible solutions do i have that would support the traffic i need in connection w laptop? i've been told eGPU thru expresscard connection is too slow. mind you, I am not an intensive user (couple hours a day), nor do I game…

tnks for your interest.

Generally you can't upgrade things like a GPU or CPU in a laptop, and the ThinkPad W530 doesn't appear to be an exception. The GPU is soldered onto the motherboard and I wouldn't advise trying to mess with it. If you want to improve your performance you'll probably just need to get a new laptop.
