PC upgrade needed? If so...

My current PC specs are
A10 7700K (arguably the hottest thing ever known to mankind)
GTX 750 ti (2 years old)
An ASRock motherboard,
EVGA 500W,
WD 1TB HDD,

I know 500W is kinda overkill for the specs. If I needed to upgrade, I do not want to change my PSU. That's all.
And FYI I have a spare i7 4790 in my dad's desktop. My dad only does spreadsheet and online browsing so he probably doesn't need all the fire power.

With a budget of 300 dollars what can I improve on?

Solution
Swap the i7 into your own computer, and give him the A10 and run it off its onboard graphics. That 500W will continue to hold its own, since the A10 consumes more power than the i7. It's a free massive upgrade, if your dad doesn't get mad.
I think you should upgrade that PSU if you're going for a new PC, the basic EVGA PSUs are quite bad imo. I think you should invest in an Intel CORE i3 6100, a decent motherboard, 8 GB DDR4, and if you can scrape some more together, an SSD.
