Hi there. I have a desktop pc with an Intel Celeron 1037U (http://ark.intel.com/products/71995/Intel-Celeron-Processor-1037U-2M-Cache-1_80-GHz), 2GB of RAM and a standard HDD of 500GB.
I use the pc for light internet tasks and watching youtube, movies, series.
I noticed it tends to lag and downright freeze from time to time. So, I checked the temperature with my trusty SpeedFan and I saw the next thing:
Idle temps: 65 - 70C (Celsius) / 149/ 158 F
Load temps (average youtube use, movie with VLC): above 80C/176F and a peak of 100C/212F.
This is not right!!!
I use other computers in the same room and their temperatures are average, this is the only one with such high temps.
I opened the motherboard, cleaned everything up and temperatures stayed the same. What I noticed, though, is that the cpu and its cooler are very very small (not conventional size). So, I assume that's the cause of the abnormal temperatures.
Can I change the cooler for something else, what do you recommend?
TL;DR: CPU overheats, I blame it on the small cooler. Want suggestions to improve temps.
