it seems the "S" version is designed for sound isolation, so in reality they are both the same but the A30 and the A30S are exactly the same but the "S" is sound isolating. i had a pair of sades once they weren't designed for sound isolating and you could hear everything through it. i would recommend the A30S regardless.

P.S the mic on them is a bit on the low end, but the audio is amazing for an entry level headset
