My current setup is a single GTX 980 which runs at 80-81c whilst running a game like Batman Arkham Knight with max settings.

If I upgrade to SLI will my current temps run even higher then they are at present?

Thanks for the response, popatim. I think I've come around to the idea of just buying a 1070 and then selling my current 980 when it arrives. I'll have a modest increase in horsepower without breaking the bank and only have to deal with the one card.
