Unable to format a 6GB pendrive

I have a 6GB pen drive which I have made into a bootable Windows 10 pen drive. I have been meaning to format it as I wish to use it for other versions of Windows. However formatting it has been impossible for me.

Among the ways that I have used to try to format it include:-
-DBAN
Didn't even detect the pen drive. Tried removing all devices except for my keyboard and DVD which was used to run DBAN. Still gave me a unrecognized device selection.

-Windows cmd/ DiskPart
Through cmd, it says it is write protected and thus, format failed.
Through DiskPart, says media is write protected. Tried doing 'attributes disk clear readonly', reports successful however when using 'clean', reports encountered an error with the reason "The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."

-Windows (through file explorer, disk management)
Needless to say, write-protected.

As for the possibility that my pen drive is bricked, it is unlikely as I am still very much still able to access it without any issues. I can even still boot my PC through the pen drive. Performing chkdsk reports no errors as well. All these are performed through my current PC which is running on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

I am open to any solution to solve this issue including hopping to other OS such as Linux with possible more powerful tools or configuring the registry involving this issue at hand.

Thanks in advanced.
